Danielle Nichols, MA, CCC-SLP

I am a certified speech-language pathologist based in Centennial, Colorado.  I received my bachelor’s of science in Communication Disorders from Texas Christian University and my master’s in Speech-Language Pathology from San Jose State University.  During graduate school, I volunteered at two private practices that focused on social communication.  These opportunities allowed me to observe and run social groups while being mentored by experienced clinicians.  Most importantly, these experiences gave me a deep understanding of how children with high-functioning autism process social events, how to help them understand the way others interpret social behaviors, and how to guide them to interact with others in a socially expected way.  I now use that knowledge when providing quality services to students and creating functional resources for other speech-language pathologists, teachers, counselors, and parents.
